Great Gardens kids programs include school presentations, holiday courses, festivals and tailored events including:
Waterwise Kids!
The Great Gardens team provides primary school students with in-school presentations that highlight the importance of waterwise behaviour and how this relates to the wider environmental issues of water supply. Presentations are informative, fun and engaging and last for between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
Specifically, the talks aim to establish a link between the importance of water, its origins and the importance of water conservation. Talks are tailored to focus on aspects of the following:

- Sources of our water supply
- Where water is used and where it can be wasted
- The need for water conservation

The material is of a positive and proactive nature, with age-appropriate key learning and literacy terms. Great Gardens provides each school with a lesson plan that includes:
- Key learning objectives
- Key literacy terms
- Focus questions
- Lesson structure
- Prop requirements.
As part of the presentation delivery, Great Gardens also provides each school with a follow-up activity that relates to and flows from the content of the lesson plan. It is provided in the form of an ‘Activity Sheet,’ which set out:
- Clear instructions for the school and students
